Information
|
|
|
| Booking
in for your Appointment |
|
When
you come in for an appointment you must report the reception where
you will be handed a coloured, numbered tag with the name of the
doctor or nurse you will see.
In
the waiting room is a board with all the GP's and Nurse Treatment
Rooms displayed, each with a corresponding hook. As each patient
is buzzed the relevant GP/Nurse Treatment room name will light
up and the patient must place there tag on that hook. When the
number before your appointment is hanging on the hook, it means
your appointment is next, once the buzzer sounds. You may then
hang up your tag and make your way to the consulting room. If
you are unable to keep an appointment please let us know as soon
as possible.

Home
Visits
|
These
are at the doctor's discretion. The doctor will visit only when
the patient is so seriously ill that he/she cannot possibly
attend Surgery.
All home visits must be requested before 10.00am please.
|
| |
| Emergency
Surgery |
| There
is an emergency surgery held on Saturday mornings. This is strictly
for serious medical emergencies. Please telephone before 10.00am
to advise us if you require a medical emergency appointment. |
|
|
| Repeat
Prescriptions |
|
We
do not take requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
There is a request slip on the right hand side of your prescription
that you need to complete before your next prescription is due.
Please bear in mind that all repeat prescription requests take
48 hours to be processed and will be available after 4.00pm on
the second working day after the request. It is important that
you clearly tick the items you require.
One
option is to post your repeat prescription request to us enclosing
a stamped, sef-addressed envelope and then we can post your prescription
back to you.
If
you wish to deliver your prescription to the surgery there is
a mail box in the foyer marked prescriptions which is opened regularly
- this will save you time waiting at the reception desk. We have
arrangements with some local chemists that will deliver to the
elderly or housebound - please ask at reception.
