Appointments
|
|
Doctors'
surgeries run on a non - appointment system. If you wish to see
the doctor, attend surgery during the stated hours taking your
turn with other patients. This means that urgent problems can
be dealt with on the day that they arise.

The
best time to talk to the doctor is half an hour after the listed
surgery times
|

Home
Visits
|
|
If
you are too ill to come to the surgery, a home visit can be arranged
by telephone. Please try to call before 10.30am.
|

|
|
|
Emergencies
|
| If
you require an urgent appointment or an urgent home visit, day or
night, the number to ring is always (0151) 608 2519. When
the surgery is closed a recorded message will give you a number
of the GP out of hours service so you will need to make another
call and the doctor on duty will help you. |

| Prescriptions |
| You
may telephone for, or order, a regular repeat prescriptions in person
or before 11.0am on week days for collection 24 hours later. The
doctor may ask you to attend the surgery for review from time to
time. |

| Results
of Tests |
| Results
usually take at least five days to come through. Smear results take
approximately four weeks. Please telephone or call at reception
after 11.00am. |
