2.00pm. Visits alternate between the Midwife and your Doctor.
Care
is usually shared with the Hospital.

Woman Clinic |
|
By
appointment with the nurse.

| Cervical
Smears |
| We
recommend that all women between the ages of 25 - 64 have a smear
every three years. You make an appointment for one at the Well Woman
Clinic or, if not convienient, with any doctor during normal working
hours. |

| Family
Planning |
|
A complete Family Planning service is available during the normal
surgery hours. We also prescribe and advise regarding emergency
contraception. For cap or coil fittings please ask for a double
appointment.

| Well
Man Checks |
|
by
appointment with the nurse.
|
| |
| Minor
Surgery |
|
A
range of Minor operations such as removal of lumps or bumps are
carried out at the surgery.
|
| |
| Asthma
Clinic |
|
Run
our our Practice Nurses for any child or adult with asthma. In
addition to regular check ups and dealing with problems as they
arise, we also instruct on proper use of inhalers and other devices.

|
| Diabetes |
| Run
our our Practice Nurses. we runa clinic for all of our diabetic
patients. Appointments are flexible but usually involove two visits
to the nurse and one the doctor each year. We perform regular checks
on control, screens for complications and can arrange appointments
with the dietition, chiropodist, optician or hospital as appropriate.

| Councelling |
| We
have three councellors who see patients at the surgery. This is
to help with any form of stress such as bereavement, relationship
or family problems, employment worries etc. This is a confidential
service. The councellors do not discuss patients with the Doctors,
or write in the medical records. |

| Well
Baby Clinic |
| The
health Visitor who looks after all our patients holds a drop-in
baby clinic on Monday 2.00pm - 3.00pm for weighing and general advice
on any problems - no appointment needed. |
|
| Immunisation
Clinic |
| Our
baby immunisation clinic is on Wednesday afternoons at 2.00pm with
the nurse. Adults may make an appointment with the nurse for tetanus
and polio boosters (every 10 years) and immunisation for travel
abroad. |
|
| Health
Checks |
| Newly
registered patients will be given a health questionairre to complete
and will be offered a routine health check. Patients over 75 years
will be offered an annual examination in the surgery, or a home
visit if necessary. |

| Private
Medical Examinations |
| These
are available for Insurance, HGV and pre-employment purposes. A
fee is charged. Please ask at reception. |
