Practice Team Members
In order to provide an intergrated range of Primary Health care, we employ the following staff:
 
Receptionists
Your first point of contact with our practice. They will always try to meet your needs, Any advise that they give is strictly to guidelines laid down by the doctors. They also have the tasks of book - keeping and dealing with the enormous amount of paperwork that passes through the practice each day.
Practice Nurses
An integral part of the practice ,they are available, usually by appointment, for dressings, injections, immunisations, foreign travel advice and vaccinations, ear syringing and advice on general health matters. They also run our various specialised clinics.
Other staff, not directly employed by us, but who work as part of the team to provide your medical care.
District Nurses
Attached to the practice, they provide the home nursing care and run 'dressings clinics' at the surgery.
Health Visitor
Primarily involved in giving advice and monitoring the health and development of children and families.
 
Nurse Visitor for the Elderly
She is involved in the assessment of the health, both physical and mental, of elderly patients and the coordination of other care agencies.
 
Community Midwifery Team
The team provides coordinated care and advice throughout pregnancy and postnatally, covering both our antenatal clinics and Arrowe Park Hospital.
 
Appointments

A full appointment system is employed for most surgeries but urgent cases always be seen the same day.

Emergencies
Always phone 334 2084. Outside of our normal working hours you will be advised by the answering machine message which number to ring for help and advice.
Prescriptions

Requests for repeat prescription items should be handed in at the front desk (not telephoned in unles there arespecial circumstances). Please allow 48 hours (weekdays) before collection.

Home Visits

If you need a doctor and are unable to visit the surgery, please phone before 11.00am giving full details. Urgent calls at any time will be atended to immediately.
