Well
Person Screening
|
| All
adults are offered a general health screen when first registering
and at intervals thereafter. For women, this includes cervical
smear testing adn instructions in breast self examination.
For all, an assessment of cardiac health is done and advice
on healthy living is given. |

| Childhood
Immunisation |
| All
routine vaccinations are done in our clinic, up to and including
pre-school booster. Appointments are by computer call. The
health visitor is also at the clinic. |

| Elderly
Person Screening |
| All
people over 75 are offered a general check up annually, which
may involve a home visit. This is to look for any age related
problems that could be helped. |

| Antenatal
Care |

Care
during pregnancy and postnatal checks are organised with
the help of the Community Midwifery team.

Clinics |
| We
run the very important regular asthma and diabetic clinic
as well as a cardiovascular clinic for those felt to be at
higher risk of heart disease. Our practice nurses give foreign
travel advice and vaccinations as necessary. |
