Healthy
people under the age of 65 may be at increased risk of coronary
artery disease (heart attacks) and strokes in later life. We invite
patients to have a creening assessment with our practice nurse
every three years on an appointment basis. We strongly urge this
for patients who have a relative who was affected by this sort
of problem under the age of 60. The screening consists of blood
pressure, weight and urine measurements, blood tests if appropriate,
a lifestyle questionairre and advice if necessary.
The
practice has regular clinics to monitor patients with diabetes
and asthma.
There
are regular monthly clinics held by a dietician.
