The Health Care Team
 
Receptionist
The receptionist will make appointments for patients to see the doctor and arrange transport needed for hospital appointments.
Health Visitor
The health visitor is available to discuss and advise on all aspects of health matters in relation to children under 5 eg vaccination, feeding difficulties, etc. She can be contacted via the surgery. A visit can be made to your home on request.
Community Midwives
Midwives work with the doctor to provide care for Mothers before and after the delivery, and care for the Baby during the first month. Antenatal Clinic every Friday morning by appointment.
District Nurse
There is a district nurse available to see you in your home to help with injections, removal of sutures, the care of the chronically sick or terminally ill etc. District Nurse Clinic is held at surgery on Monday am by appointment.
Social Services
Help is provided with all kinds of social problems. The team includes a social worker and an Occupational Therapist.

Disabled Patients

Access for wheelchairs and a special toilet for disabled patients is provided

Urgent Appointments

If you need to be seen urgently please tell the receptionist. Urgent cases will be seen as soon as possible.

Car Parking

Adequate car parking spaces are provided for the patient.

Home Visits

If you need to see the doctor but are not well enough to get to the surgery, please telephone before 10.30am ,For urgent home visits after this time, please telephone the receptionist abd give a description of your condition or problem.

Telephone advice
If you need advice from the doctor over the phone, please ring in the morning, leave your name and telephone number with the receptionist. The doctor will contact you as soon as possible.
Sick Children

Sick children will be seen as soon as possible if they are brought into the surgery. This may be quicker than a home visit. If in any doubt, please consult the doctor on the telephone.

Emergency call (out of hours)

If you need to contact the doctor in an emergency out of hours, telephone 645 1020 and listen to the message on the answer machine, which will give you the number of the Duty Doctor.

Repeat Prescriptions
If you have regular medication, these may be obtained by sending your repeat prescription request to the surgery or by telephoning before 10.30am. Prescriptions will then be ready for collection in 24 hours. The doctor will request you see her to discuss your medication after a certain number of repeat prescriptions has been issued.
Immunization

To prevent avoidable illnesses, we are providing vaccination to protect the whole family against a wide range of diseases including those that might be encountered during foreign travel.
