RADIOTHERAPY

Brachytherapy

Brachytherapy treatment delivers radiotherapy internally and can benefit a small number of patients. We will explain the treatment to you fully beforehand and we will give you written information about it.

What happens after my treatment has finished?

On completion of your radiotherapy/brachytherapy, we will usually give you an outpatient appointment so that your doctor can check your progress. If we have been unable to give the appointment card, it will be sent to you as soon as possible.

These appointments will become less frequent as time passes. If you are worried about anything at all, you can telephone for advice or you can ask for an earlier appointment. Your GP will receive a full report of your treatment.
