What Exactly Happens To Me As A Patient?

The following is a step-by-step guide to your treatment at Clatterbridge;

  • You will have already seen your GP and your Consultant Ophthalmologist by the time you are referred to Clatterbridge.
  • Your referral is normally faxed through to us by your Consultant Ophthalmologist's secretary. Upon receiving it, we will sort out some suitable appointment dates.
  • The Cyclotron secretary will normally then phone you to confirm the appointments and to arrange accommodation details.
  • When these details are finalised, and you are satisfied with them, the Cyclotron secretary will do two things:-
    • Inform your Consultant Ophthalmologist of these dates.
    • Write a letter to you. This letter will include the confirmed dates as well as giving you details of the accommodation booked. It will also have information on how to find to Clatterbridge and, if necessary, directions to your hotel.
  • Unless you have any queries in the meantime, the next step is usually your Simulation

next step

Where can I get more information?

You can contact the Unit Manager, Andrzej, on [email protected] . Please remember that all referrals come through the Specialist Ophthalmologists.
