CCO is one of the largest cancer centres in the UK with nearly 7000 new patients being registered each year together with many thousands of initial and follow up appointments. Many of these clinics are run in the surrounding general hospitals of Merseyside, Cheshire and the Isle of Man.

We are a specialist cancer centre delivering treatment for our patients through our radiotherapy and chemotherapy services. To help us we have state of the art imaging services to detect and plan treatment together with supportive care from nursing and allied health professionals to address the palliative aspects of care and needs of family supporters. This is greatly assisted from our Macmillan Information Centre.

Our Aims are:

• To provide the best possible standard of care and continuous improvement in cancer treatment, care and support.
• To promote and support research into cancer treatment and car.

We treat most of our patients as out-patients or day cases and much of our chemotherapy is delivered at the associated general hospitals nearest to the patients home. Information on all our services is contained later in this website.
