	REGISTRATION The charitable funds administered by the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Trust Board are a registered charity named "Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology Charitable Funds", registration number 1051727, in accordance with the Charities Act (1993). These funds include the "Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology Cancer Research Charity" which is registered as a subsidiary of the main charity. For the purposes of registration (section 3 and 4 Charities Act 1993) and accounting (Part VI of the aforementioned Act) the main charity and the subsidiary are treated as a single charity- OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY The objects of the main charity, as per the declaration of trust, are: "For any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the National Health Service, wholly or mainly for the service provided by the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Trust or its successors". The Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Trust is a special non-surgical, cancer treatment centre. Its mission statement is two fold: To provide continuously improving cancer treatment, care and support. To promote and support research into cancer treatment and care. The charity is administered by the NHS Trust to assist in the achievement of these two objectives, being used for charitable purposes associated with the care of cancer patients and cancer research. There are designations within the fund for these specific purposes. In addition, the objects of the subsidiary charity, as per the subsidiary declaration of trust, are: "For any charitable purpose or purposes, principally (but not exclusively) at or in connection with the Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology which will further the following aims: (a)The investigation of the causes of cancer and the prevention, treatment, cure and defeat of cancer in all its forms; (b)The advancement of scientific and medical education and research in topics related to cancer; (c)The furtherance of any other charitable purposes for the relief of persons suffering from cancer."
