ADMINISTRATION

The Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology NHS Trust Board acts as the corporate for the charity. Specific designations within the charitable fund are managed by senior managers and medical staff within the Trust. The extent of an individual's authority to commit expenditure is set out in the Trust's Scheme of Delegation. All expenditure is authorised by at least one of the Trustees, and must comply with the following principles:

  • Expenditure must be in line with the objects of the charity.
  • Funds are only to be spent on the purpose for which they were donated.
  • Expenditure must be assessed in terms of necessity and value for money.
  • Funds may not be used on items of expenditure which are wholly necessary for Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology to carry out its normal business.
  • There must be no personal gain from the approval of expenditure by a fund manager.
  • Funds most not be used to benefit the friends or relatives of staff.
