How many times will i have to attend? The number of visits required will depend upon your condition. The usual is a single visit for simulation, and a full week (Monday to Friday) for the treatment. If you have age related macula degeneration then the number of visits required is normally four. Where will I stay? People who live locally often prefer to attend as outpatients. If you do not live locally, however, then we will make arrangements for you to stay at one of our local guesthouses. During your stay, we will pay the cost of your accommodation. This usually covers your bed, breakfast and evening meal (NB. you will be responsible for your own lunch). If you would like to bring a friend or relative with you, we will arrange the booking. It is important to note, however, that the Cyclotron Unit will only pay for your half of the stay, so anyone accompanying you will be responsible for their own accommodation costs. This usually works out around £30 per person, per night, on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis. People who live locally or have traveled to Bebington by car normally drive themselves here (Directions can be found on this site). If you are staying in one of the guesthouses and do not have a car with you, we will provide taxi transport, from the guesthouse, to the Cyclotron Unit daily. The hospital will pay for these journeys. |
