1998/1999 Annual Review - Quality

The CCO Board receives regular reports of the Centre’s performance in relation to the Patients’ Charter Standards. These include out-patient waiting times, the numbers of patients who did not attend their first out-patient appointment, complaints and litigation reports.

Patients’ Charter Performance
In 1998/99 the following standards were achieved:

Waiting Times in Out-Patients
As in previous years, the Centre’s performance in out-patient waiting times does not always meet the Patients’ Charter Standard of 30 minutes. This is due to the open nature of our clinics, where anyone needing to be seen will be fitted into the next clinic. However, the data indicates that we are making progress in achieving this standard year on year.
