The Trust has a Communications Lead* who works with a Public Relations Company* to ensure that communications between the Trust and the media are dealt with efficiently. They support the Trust on issues of internal and external communications and co-ordinate organisational responses to media enquiries.

The Trust has close links with the local press, including the Wirral Globe, Wirral News Group and the Wirral Chronicle and makes regular press releases to promote services and developments within the Trust and to share good news stories. All press releases from Wirral Hospital (NHS) Trust are published on our website at www.wirralhealth.org.uk.

The Trust has a Media Enquiries Policy, which outlines how all staff should deal with media and press enquiries if they receive them. For information on how to obtain a copy of this policy see Class 8. All enquiries for further information relating to media or communications issues within the Trust should firstly be directed to the Communications Lead*.
