Chester Alcohol Service

Chester Alcohol Service offers help and support to anyone whose life is being affected by alcohol. The service offers information, advice, education, support and 'treatment' to individuals experiencing alcohol-related problems.

We also help others whose lives / work may be affected by alcohol e.g. families, friends, the general public, other agencies, services and organisations.

The aim of the Service is to enable and support clients in making alcohol-related changes, be it abstinence, controlled drinking or harm minimisation. The emphasis is on reducing risk and promoting health within the model of 'The Stages of Change' (Prochaska and DiClemente) using motivational interviewing techniques, brief interventions and on-going support.
