Bebington and West Wirral Primary Care Trust (PCT) was formed in April 2001. It is a statutory, freestanding organisation, employing its own staff. The PCT aims to bring healthcare closer to the people of Bebington and West Wirral and to give them greater involvement in planning and delivery of local health services.
The PCT is responsible for:

• Improving the health of the community
• Providing Primary Care and Community Services
• Commissioning hospital and specialist services
