The philosophy of the Children's Day Ward is that all children and their parents/carers will be greeted in a calm, friendly and professional manner.

We recognise each child as a unique, developing individual whose best interests are our main concern.

Throughout your stay, whilst your child is in our care we will endeavour to give you all the information, support and reassurance you require. If necessary we will continue to support you following discharge.

We believe in family centred care and that we should work in partnership with you, the parent/guardian, to care for your child.
