Welcome to the web pages of the WiSCH Day Ward. Boys & girls of all ages come into the Day Ward at Arrowe Park Hospital for all or part of a day, either for an operation or a special test.

We want to use these pages to give our patients & their parents/carers an insight into how they will be looked after whilst in our care. We hope this information will make you feel less apprehensive about coming onto the ward.

We aim to make your stay here as pleasant as possible. To help you get to know us we all wear badges showing a photo, our name and job title. We also have a display of staff photographs.

You will also be invited to attend a pre-operative assessment. On this visit you will be shown around the ward & any questions you have can be answered.

You can also telephone us on 0151 604 7182. A member of the Day Ward Staff will answer your call during our opening hours - 7.30am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours our WISCH colleagues on another children’s ward will answer your call.
